Description

The µCAN.4.ci-BOX is equipped with 4 fast counters of up to 100 kHz. The CAN module acquires and processes the binary pulses and transmits them to a higher-level system.

Features

The 4 outputs are switched according to the counter value and may be used as fast control signals. The outputs may be charged up to 1.4 A and are short circuit protected.

Connectivity

Up to 4 control signals may be connected to the module, the optional scaling of the measurement units may be parameterized via CAN bus.

Communications

The digitized values of the µCAN.4.ci-BOX are transmitted via CAN bus. The bit rate of the CAN bus interface is adjustable within a range of 50 kBit/s to 1 MBit/s. A terminating resistor may be activated via a switch in the device. The CANopen protocol of the module complies with the CANopen standards CiA 301, CiA 305 and CiA 404. Both 11 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0A) and 29 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0B) may be used on the process data.
