Description

1-channel analogue input temperature Pt100 / thermocouple

The µCAN.1.ti-BOX is the single channel solution for measuring temperatures. Resistance sensors as well as thermocouples may be connected to the module. The signals are evaluated and linearized within a rugged aluminium die cast casing. The CAN interface supports the CANopen protocol.

Features

The decentralized measurement data acquisiton module µCAN.1.ti-BOX in protection class IP66 is designed for the acquisition of temperature sensor signals. The µCAN.1.ti-BOX may be installed near the temperature sensor. The signals of the sensor are evaluated within the µCAN.1.ti-BOX and the measured value is transmitted in °C via the CAN interface.

Connectivity

One measurement sensor may be connected to the module, the sensor type is selected via CAN bus. On selecting the type of sensor the cold junction compensation for thermocouples is activated automatically.

Communications

The digitized temperature values of the µCAN.1-ti-BOX are transmitted via CAN bus. The bit rate of the CAN bus interface is adjustable within a range of 10 kBit/s to 1 MBit/s. A terminating resistor may be activated via a switch in the device where required. The CANopen protocol of the module complies with the CANopen Standard CiA 404. Both 11 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0A) and 29 bit identifiers (CAN 2.0B) may be used on the process data.
